Quirin Ilmer wins King’s Gate

Quirin Ilmer won the first ever King's Gate yesterday in a final featuring a spectacular collision between Zak Maytum and Aaron Hampshire at the fastest part of the track. In Women's, Emily Pross proved that even a broken toe couldn't slow her down, while Lyde Begue and Paloma Dorado were impressively quick in taking the other two podium spots in a strong women's field.

King’s Gate – Day 3, Alex Charleson Turns it On

Alex Charleson qualified fasted at King's Gate on a day where each qualifying run occurred on different conditions - starting out totally wet, and getting progressively drier as the day wore on. There was no way of knowing exactly how dry each corner would be before starting out, so riders had to be 100% ON to deal with whatever the track threw at them.

King’s Gate – Day 2, Yet Mysteries Remain

Day 2 at King's Gate began at dawn for the organising crew who who put in a massive effort to add hay and extra netting to the critical safety spots on the track after safety issues were raised yesterday. They worked so hard that the first practice run began on time at the scheduled 11 am. The track was dry, but this is the Alps where weather is always a factor, and after a few runs the rain appeared, sending riders scurrying for rain wheels. The wet didn't change the character of the track much - the slide were longer, but riders still charged hard.

King’s Gate – day 1

The Austrian Alps at Hinterstoder was the setting for Day 1 of the inaugural King's Gate today. One hundred and thirty riders from 21 different countries converged on this small mountain town, with most staying in the campsite located right below the finish line.

A wet La Leonera DH in Colombia brought the 2017 South American Championship to an end after three races in 3 three nations: Perù, Brasil and Colombia. Three amazing races featuring the fight for the South American championship kept all of us watching until the last run.

Wet and rad finals in La Leonera WQS

Even the heavy rain all over the track didn’t stop the race at La Leonera WQS. The last event of the IDF South American Championship had wet finals for all the classes but a fair competition between the riders gave a great competition till the last run.
